Sector: Commercial / Retail Alton Towers Resort is the UK’s leading short break resort and part of the global leading Merlin Entertainments Group. Alton Towers offer an unrivalled selection of theme parks and attractions for the whole family to enjoy together. The Challenge The challenge was to create an attractive, eye catching all-in-one kiosk, maintaining a tiny footprint whilst incorporating an easy to use booking facility for the hotel and restaurants at Alton Towers. Both hardware and software needed to be intuitive and allow customers to view availability and instantly book and receive a confirmation with no prior experience of the process. The Solution Top Screen Media created a solution that gave Alton Tower the flexibility to deploy a self service solution to its customers. Delivering the solution on our innovative touch pad which looks like a giant IPod gives the customers a more familiar platform to interact with and invites instant interaction. We also delivered the Offerpod software on the platform allowing Alton Towers the ability to include and manage real time special offers and data capture. Outcome Our product significantly reduces pressure on customer service staff. Enable customers to view availability and instantly book and receive a confirmation with no prior experience of the process.
Case Study: Ladbrookes Ltd
Sector: Retail / Betting Ladbrokes plc is a leader in the global betting and gaming market with annual Group revenues of over £1 billion. Ladbrokes is a market leader in retail bookmaking in the UK, Ireland, Belgium and Spain where it operates a combined total of more than 2,800 betting shops. The Challenge The challenge was twofold: To create an attractive, eye catching self service betting terminal whilst maintaining a small footprint The second product was to create a “welcome kiosk” designed to enhance customer experience. The platform was to incorporating a range of solutions including live odds streaming and a betting facility. The hardware needed to be robust, intuitive and allow customers to access all information at the touch of a button. The Solution Top Screen Media created a bespoke kiosk solution with all the functionalities required that gave Ladbrokes a self service, cost effective yet stylish betting terminal. The welcome kiosk was also developed in partnership between Ladbrokes technical team and Top Screen media’s developers to deliver a flexible easy to use solution to its customers. All products were delivered according to Ladbrokes strict brand guidelines and quality standards. Outcome Our product enabled customers to access live odds, betting slips, view predicted odds and instantly place a bet with no prior experience of the process. It also helped to reduce pressure on customer service staff.
Case Study: Hotels.com
Sector: Commercial Hotels.com is a leading provider of hotel accommodation worldwide, offering booking services through its own network of localised websites and telephone call centres. Hotels.com has the widest selections of accommodation on the net with over 240,000 properties worldwide. The Challenge Hotels.com were actively looking for new innovative ways to market their product to increase sales and exposure. Hotels.com wanted to explore how digital advertising could be quantified into sales and not just awareness. Apart from online advertising there are very few identified advertising channels that allow instant sales conversions. Case Study: Pizza Hut
Sector: Retail Pizza Hut is one of the most globally recognised brands with family-like support. With over 600 sites across the country the franchise is rapidly growing. The Challenge Pizza Hut aimed to market their product to customers in close proximity to their restaurants to invite impulse purchase but also to explore multichannel retailing and voucher delivery. Pizza Hut were looking to drive increase footfall through the door With an increasing competitive fast food market especially in shopping centres it’s important to be innovative in order to attract new customers. The Solution Top Screen Media delivered a campaign for Pizza Hut on our innovative Offerpod platform currently installed in shopping centres. By utilising the Offerpod Pizza Hut could provide special offer vouchers that could be instantly scanned to phones or printed off through the Offerpod and redeemed in store. This network presented an ideal customer base in shopping mode. Pizza Hut managed to steal a march on their competitors and drive increased footfall and sales. Outcome Our advertising platform enabled Pizza Hut to deliver and manage vouchers in real time and drive footfall and sales. Over 1,800 vouchers were printed and redeemed in store. After a 3 months pilot on the platform, Pizza Hut signed up for a 12 months rolling contract to utilise the Offerpod.

Sector: Commercial The Montcalm is one of London´s most exclusive hotels, ideally located in London Marble Arch for shopping and experiencing all that London has to offer. The Montcalm offer a superb choice of luxurious accommodation and exudes glamour with a contemporary edge. The Challenge The challenge was twofold: To create an attractive, eye catching digital signage network both wall mounted screens and free standing totem style units. As a premium brand The Montcalm wanted a unique and bespoke solution tailored to their customer base with luxurious but yet minimalistic feel. The solution was also to allow a real time remote management and updating facility to cater for the many high profile events hosted at the hotel. Disappointed in the past by previous suppliers it was imperative to use a company that could deliverer a reliable and fully managed service. The Solution Top Screen Media delivered fully bespoke and branded products to the Montcalm according to the strict specifications and brand guidelines. The screens were all made utilising industrial components to assure a robust solution and minimal amount of downtime. The totem display kiosks were bespoke designed and produced in high end edge to edge glass delivering a product never seen before in the industry. Outcome All products were delivered and installed by TSM engineers Training was provided to enable the hotel staff to easily manage all screens remotely and to schedule content weeks in advance.

Case Study: Greggs Bakery
Sector: Retail Greggs is the leading bakery food-on-the-go retailer in the UK. With over 1500 shops, Greggs can be found on the UK’s high streets, local shopping parades and other locations where people live, work, travel and spend their leisure time. The Challenge Greggs were looking for new ways to communicate with their customers at the point of purchase to deliver useful information whilst influencing buying decisions. The ambition was to deliver a shelf edge solution capable of displaying full high quality video content with an easy to update and change the displayed content instantly. The main challenge was the lack of power in the desired locations and the ability to install a product with minimal footprint not to distract from the products on the shelves. The Solution Top Screen Media developed a new innovative shelf edge solution able to play high quality video content with a bespoke bracket solution tailored to Greggs shelving solution in store. The delivered solution was also fully battery powered with the ability to last for a full trading day and then easily recharged at the end of the day ready for use the following day. The battery mechanism was also designed to be easy to replace and maintain as well as the instant updating facility. In order to reduce clutter all components where built in to one single cohesive unit with no need for cabling and separate battery packs. Outcome Our shelf edge display screen enabled Greggs to achieve their marketing objective in a reliable yet stylish way. The product was delivered fully configured with brackets and branding ready for deployment.
Case Study: The Whitgift Shopping Centre
Sector: Retail The Whitgift Centre is a large shopping centre and office development in the centre of Croydon, London. With 1,302,444 sq ft (121,001.0 m2) of retail space it was the largest covered shopping development in Greater London. Hammerson and Westfield have recently formed a joint venture to redevelop the shopping mall. The Challenge Shopping centre groups are constantly trying to identify ways to improve exposure for tenants in order to justify rents and rates, increase sales and the overall satisfaction of tenants and customers. The Whitgift Shopping Centre also wanted to increase dwell time at the centre and capitalise on the fact that nearly half (48%) of shoppers are driven to a retail outlet to take advantage of different promotions. Key objective were to: Attract visitors and increase footfall. Improve value and exposure for tenants, to justify rents and rates. Increase sales and overall satisfaction of tenants and customers. The Solution TopScreen Media delivered the Offerpod a consumer enhancement product developed to enhance customer engagement and help drive footfall to retailers. This allowed the shopping centre and retailers to deliver and manage real time offers to customers in the right place, at the right time directly in the centre and capitalise on passing customers. Case Study: Leeds Tourist Information Centre
Sector: Tourism / Travel The Leeds Visitor Centre is the only tourist information centre in the city centre of Leeds. Strategically situated at the busiest train station in the north, Leeds Railways stations, with over 3.2 M footfalls per month. The Challenge As a central point for delivering information and visitor services in the heart of the city key requirement was to ease pressure on customer service personnel. The kiosk was tailored to give customers easy access to information through an intuitive touch screen interface with an addition signage screen to deliver visitor information and messages. The platform also enabled Leeds Visitor centre to deliver self service casual internet access and an A4 printing service to customers whilst monetising the service with minimal impact on staff at Leeds Visitor Centre. By further incorporating digital and interactive advertising on the kiosks, the visitor centre was able to build strong community links by allowing advertising inclusion for local businesses. A further bespoke out of hour’s kiosk solution was installed at the visitor centre to cater for the huge amount of customers arriving at Leeds Railway station looking for information after opening hours. Customers can now find information, bus times, attraction information events etc. 24/7 at Leeds Railway station. Outcome Our tailored kiosk solution helped Leeds Visitor Centre to enhance visitor experience by allowing visitors to instantly find answers to their enquiries, utilise a self service casual internet and A4 printing service. The monetising element of the platform also meant that Leeds Visitor Centre to achieved ROI within 8 months of operation and thereafter a significant revenue stream to the centre.
